Under the creative helm of James Beard nominated Chef Dale Talde, the restaurant pays homage to the rich flavors of Hong Kong, emphasizing the importance of fresh, seasonal ingredients. Goosefeather offers a charming ambiance with four distinct dining rooms, a 9-seat bar, indoor and outdoor lounge areas, and cozy fire pits for colder nights. Guests can also enjoy their meals on two terraces, a garden, and a front lawn during warmer weather, enhancing the overall dining experience. Goosefeather is the brainchild of Food Crush Hospitality, a partnership between Chef Dale and his wife, Agnes. Dale's passion for cooking, rooted in his early experiences in his native Chicago, shines through in every dish. His unique Asian-American background and culinary expertise have not only graced the kitchens of acclaimed restaurants like TALDE in Brooklyn, Miami, and Jersey City but also earned him recognition on popular TV shows like "Top Chef," "Chopped," and "Iron Chef America." ROLE REQUIREMENTS 1+years experience working in high-volume restaurants. Strong problem-solving and communication skills, and excellent time management skills. Maintain the kitchen work areas and staff dining area in accordance with DOHregulations. Knowledge of how to use commercial kitchen equipment i.e. dishwasher with the ability to also wash dishes manually. Ensure all kitchen equipment i.e. food mixers, refrigerators, cookers, are in good working order, reporting any faulty equipment to the Leadership team. Ensure that the dish machine is always clean, consistently changing the water through-out the shift and checking that the jets in the machine are free of blockage debris. Using the correct amount of proportion cleaning chemicals when cleaning work surfaces and equipment. Carefully washing and stacking all kitchen utensils and china to minimize breakage. Stacking and restocking plates in the appropriate areas for the culinary staff. Organizing the silver ware appropriately so FOH team can polish for reset. Accepting food deliveries from suppliers and storing them in proper locations based on quality preservation of items delivered. Disposing of all trash from the kitchens to the appropriate basement storage areas in an orderly and hygienic manner . Taking all dirty linen from the kitchens to the laundry storage areas, in an orderly and hygienic manner. Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts, must be able to lift/move up to 10lbs, frequently lift/move up to 25lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 50lbs. Current food handler’s card and other certification as required by federal/state/local law, willingness to comply with all food safety procedures. Ensuring that at the end of the shift the kitchen is clean, stocked and ready for handover to the following team. Attend all required culinary team trainings and meetings to ensure growth, knowledge and team consistency. Goosefeather is an equal opportunity employer.
